How much does a concrete driveway cost?
Concrete driveway pricing depends on the area, site preparation, access, thickness, reinforcement, drainage and finish selected. As a guide, we can provide placing-only work from $20 per m², while complete driveway pricing is quoted after reviewing your site and scope.
What preparation is needed before concrete is poured?
A long-lasting concrete driveway or slab starts with proper excavation, compacted basecourse, boxing, reinforcement and levels. We can manage the full process from site preparation through to placing and finishing, or work alongside your builder or contractor.
How long does concrete take to cure before it can be used?
Concrete can usually be walked on after 24–48 hours before you walk on it depending on conditions. Light vehicle access is generally best left for around seven days, while concrete continues gaining strength for up to 28 days. We will advise the right timing for your specific pour.
Can I hire you for concrete placing only?
Yes. If your site is prepared and ready for the pour, we offer concrete placing-only services from $20 per m². We can also assist with selected parts of the job, subject to a minimum charge of $350 + GST.
What concrete finishes do you offer?
We provide practical and attractive finishes for driveways, paths, patios, slabs and outdoor areas, including smooth trowel, broom, exposed aggregate and other non-slip finish options. We can recommend a finish that suits your use, style and maintenance preferences.
Do weather, site access and GST affect the quote?
Yes. Rain, extreme heat, restricted truck access, steep sites, pumping requirements and difficult ground conditions can affect programme and cost. Quotes are provided for the specific site and scope, with GST clearly stated. Send through your location, dimensions, access details, preferred finish and required timeframe for an accurate quote.
